Our Approach
Welcome to Hidden Valley!
The Board and members of the Hidden Valley Property Owners Association (HVPOA) are happy to have you here. Hidden Valley has everything you need for a memorable and adventurous stay.
Our neighborhood is made up of a mix of permanent residents, long-term renters and short-term renters. Hidden Valley is always a pleasant and restful place to visit because everyone treats each other with thoughtfulness and respect.
QUIET HOURS
The most basic way we can demonstrate that thoughtfulness and respect is by observing the noise by-laws of the Town of Huntsville. The by-laws prohibit loud noise from people or music systems between 11pm and 7am. Complying with this law allows everyone to get their rest and enjoy themselves. By all means, if you want to keep socializing after 11pm, please do so, but do so indoors so as not to disturb others. Those who are in violation of this law will be reported to the Ontario Provincial Police.
OUTDOOR FIRES
In order to keep the area safe, please check the fire hazard rating sign near the entrance @ Highway 60, during the spring, summer and fall. Always ensure fires are completely extinguished before retiring for the evening.
THE BEACH
In the summer, the beach is an incredible asset for our community. Please familiarize yourself with the beach rules and follow all posted signs. All users MUST be prepared to present the beach pass card associated with the property you’ve rented. The card should be left for you my the owner. If you are at the beach without the card, expect to be asked to leave. Renters are not permitted to bring guests who are not staying in the rented accommodation. If you have a boat you’d like to launch, there is a public boat launch nearby. There is no overnight mooring of boats at the beach, except for those who have a rented slip.
PUBLIC BOAT LAUNCH
There is an excellent public boat launch minutes away. Take Hwy 60 just east of Hidden Valley to Tally Ho Inn, in Hillside. The public boat launch is accessed by taking the first entrance to Tally Ho Inn and staying straight, down towards the lake. There are signs to help show the way.
THE ROADS
While the roadways in Hidden Valley are ideal for the kind of driving one sees in sports car commercials, we’d prefer you drive slowly and carefully.
