Welcome to Hidden Valley

Welcome to Hidden Valley, from the Hidden Valley Property Owners’ Association!

Hidden Valley is a recreational residential community, unlike any other in Ontario. What makes our neighbourhoods so unique is its proximity to an incredible array of year-round outdoor opportunities.  Our homes sit adjacent to the excellent, family-focused ski resort: Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area. Many of our owners are also members of the Muskoka Ski Club.

All members in good standing of the HVPOA have access to an incredible private beach on the shores of Peninsula Lake for summer fun.  The beach is well-maintained and features a groomed beach volleyball pit, play structures, stainless steel BBQ, shaded areas and shallow, sandy swimming. We are moments away from Deerhurst Resort, and have access to the excellent dining and entertainment opportunities there. Deerhurst is also home to two golf courses, one of which is in the top 40 courses in Canada.

If skiing, swimming and world-class resort facilities are not what you’re after, Hidden Valley is just minutes away from the Algonquin Provincial Park, Arrowhead Provincial Park and the beautiful Almaguin Highlands. In these wild areas you can enjoy the best of Ontario’s outdoors year-round. Of course, there are also plentiful dining, shopping and entertainment opportunities to be had in the Town of Huntsville, just 7km away.

We look forward to welcoming you to our place.

Our Community

The Hidden Valley Property Owners Association was incorporated in 1971 to give us a strong voice in community affairs, to protect the values and quality of our area, and to work for the benefit of all property owners. The Board of Directors consists of eight community members and the Board is committed to serving our community.

The Beach

Hidden Valley property owners in good standing are privileged to have access to a beautiful beach area on the shores of Peninsula Lake. We share this beach area with members of the Muskoka Ski Club, and jointly participate in upkeep and maintenance of the beach area.

HVPOA History

In the early 1960s when properties were sold to the original purchasers of lots located on Plans 18, M-419, BR-791 and M-473 in Hidden Valley from Hidden Valley Estates Ltd. (a company operated by HV Resorts Ltd.) the purchasers received as part of their Agreement of Purchase a Schedule “C” which stated under others: “That the Vendor will make available to the owners of the lots the use of 400 feet of beach and docking facilities on Lake Peninsula.”
